An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.  The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the following functions:

• Mining and materials handling plant layout and equipment, selection and specification;
• Performing engineering design and calculation generation
• Design of bulk materials handling systems;
• Design and specification of supporting infrastructure
• Technical support for the procurement and contracting process.
• Providing Mechanical / Piping design and provision of information to the Drafting team

Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role of 3 - 5 years within an EPCM and or client environment is essential.  Other prerequisites for the role include: 

• Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering;  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• The ability to liaise with staff at all levels;
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise;
• Strong attention to detail;
• The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information;
• A proactive and ‘can do’ work approach;
• The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment; and
• Strong computer skills.
