Metallurgical Testwork & Processing

metallurg

Our Clients often engage us prior to any study phase to assist them in understanding their metallurgy and ore characteristics.

Our experienced processing team simplify this practice for our Clients by developing, budgeting and scheduling the metallurgical test plans and sampling programmes. The team will manage and coordinate the test program with the labs, interpret the results and deliver a metallurgical summary report. This key step is essential to developing a process flow sheet that is practical, cost effective and delivers maximum yield.

We currently employ process engineers who are recognised by the industry for their depth of practical experience. The services we are able to provide include:

  • Testwork program development (including davis tube recovery tests, comminution tests, grind establishment tests, benchscale tests, etc)
  • Coordination and management of metallurgical test work
  • Evaluation of the testwork results
  • Validation of the prior testwork program
  • Conceptual development of flow sheets for processes
  • Recommendation of the optional process size
  • Determination of recovery rates and operational usage of consumables and reagents
  • Determination of process area availability ratings
  • Establishment of the operational sampling and analysis criteria
  • Process design

Our processing expertise includes:

  • Iron Ore processing (concentration and beneficiation for Magnetite and Hematite)
  • Manganese processing (dense media separation)
  • Mineral Sands processing (heavy minerals separation)
  • Diamonds processing (dense media separation)
  • Coal processing
  • Gold processing
  • Other precious metals
