Description

Engenium are seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Projects Controls Managers who would like to join our team.  The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the development and management of project controls systems including scheduling, cost control, estimating, contracts, procurement and administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Identifies risks and evaluate options for their control.
  • Monitors risks and review contingencies.
  • Retrieves, records and presents project control information.
  • Provides advice and support to maintain progress.
  • Manages the Project Controls team
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships.
  • Determines the requirements for project control estimates and specifies financial resources.
  • Develops the project programme.
  • Develops commercial control procedures
  • Develops the work breakdown and coding structures.
  • Establishes project control budgets.
  • Establishes project control programmes and schedules.
  • Prepares project control budgets. Prepares project control programmes and schedules.
  • Monitors, controls and reports on exposure commitment and expenditure.
  • Monitors, controls and reports on project progress.
  • Selects tenderers and obtain estimates, bids and tenders.
  • Evaluates and selecst successful bids from tenderers.
  • Ensures the completion of project control activities. Evaluates project controls performance and project information and data

Previous experience in a Project Controls Manager role or similar of at least 10 years within the Mining and Construction Industry is essential. 

Other prerequisites for the role include:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification;
  • Previous experience in the management of Projects;
  • Management and leadership experience;
  • Demonstrated contractual understanding;  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Computer skills, eg MS Office Suite, Suretrack, Primavera, Success Estimator;
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise;
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive and ‘can do’ work approach;
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information; and
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

Previous site experience and commercial exposure would be highly regarded. Terms of this employment contract are negotiable and can be discussed at interview stage.
