Description

Engenium are seeking Expressions of Interest for an enthuasiastic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The Senior Estimator establishes the estimating scope of work, prepares estimating methodology and basis of estimate as well as produces the overall estimate schedule, identifying all deliverables and interfaces with other disciplines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

• Coordinates and monitors input from process engineering, discipline lead engineers, procurement, contracts and construction to ensure a timely completion.
• Establishes the key parameters associated with the overall quality and accuracy of the estimate such as: equipment and material pricing guidelines, material take-off and other allowances, escalation philosophy, and site labor productivity factors.
• Assembles final estimate packages; conducts detailed analysis of completed estimates including benchmarking against similar completed projects and reconciliation of completed estimate to prior estimates.
• Produces comprehensive estimate review packages for project, department, corporate and client reviews.

Previous experience in a Senior Estimator role of at least 10 years within the Mining and Construction Industry is essential.

• Demonstrated initiative and results orientation;
• the ability to quickly respond to situations as they arise;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of the team;
• Report writing skills;
• Competent computer skills (MS Office suite)
• Proficient in the use of dedicated estimating packages eg Quest, Success Estimator
