Engenium are seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist who would like to join our team.  The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for the obtaining quality goods and services pricing in a timely, cost efficient manner as required to service the project

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Development and application of procurement procedures.
  • Leading the review and award process for tender submissions on assigned packages.
  • Leading the tender specification process for assigned packages.
  • Effectively negotiating with vendors’ relevant terms of contract in support of the commercial requirements of the assigned packages on matters relating to quality, cost, support and delivery expectations.
  • Providing accurate and effective reporting services in support of tender recommendations and ongoing project information requirements on progress of assigned packages.
  • Developing relationships with vendors and suppliers in support of ongoing project requirements and best for business outcomes.
  • Developing strong reporting relationships with both internal stakeholders, vendors and suppliers, communicating procurement progress ongoing.

Previous experience in a Senior Procurement role of at least 6+ years within the Mining and Construction Industry is essential. Candidates with a Project Engineering background will be highly regarded. Other prerequisites for the role include:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications;
  • Demonstrated contractual understanding;  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Computer skills, eg MS Office Suite
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise;
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive and ‘can do’ work approach;
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information; and
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

Previous site experience and commercial exposure would be highly regarded. Terms of this employment contract are negotiable and can be discussed at interview stage.
