An excellent opportunity exists for enthusiastic and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.  The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Projects - Resource Operations and will be responsible for the following functions: 

• Development of scopes and specifications for tender documentation;
• Contract management support; (Vendor Management)
• Design engineering and designer management – (Bulk Material Handling Systems, Crushing and Screening Systems)
• Schedule key dates control.
• Cost reporting and forecasting.
• Budget estimating support and input into estimating;
• Construction management support;
• Design and specification of supporting infrastructure; and
• Technical support for the procurement and contracting process.

Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Engineering role of  4 - 6 years within a EPCM Industry is essential.  Other prerequisites for the role include: 

• Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a variety of conflicting priorities over extended periods.
• Well-developed client service skills.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering;
• Previous Project Engineering experience;  
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise;
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive and ‘can do’ work approach;
• The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information; and
• The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

 Previous site experience and commercial exposure would be highly regarded. Terms of this employment contract are negotiable and can be discussed at interview stage.
