We are excited to announce Engenium has been shortlisted as a finalist in Bentley Systems Year in Infrastructure (YII) 2019 Awards program, having submitted a 3D Model of an iron ore processing plant using Bentley software into the ‘Mining and Offshore Engineering’ category.

Engenium were selected from 571 nominations as one of 54 finalists, by 12 independent jury panels of industry experts. More than 440 organisations in over 60 countries participated.

“We used a mixture of Bentley software for our submission including, OpenPlant for 3D layout designs of process plant equipment, piping and electrical, and ProStructures for creating accurate 3D models for structural steel, platework and reinforced concrete structures” said Ian Wolfe, Lead SMP Designer here at Engenium.

Having been shortlisted as a finalist Ian Wolfe will travel to Singapore with Chris Senior our Engineering Director and Principal Designer Jai York, to present our entry at Bentley Systems Year in Infrastructure (YII) 2019 Conference, to be held on 21-24 October in Singapore.

“Our project team did a magnificent job developing the design models in parallel with process and options development, providing fast efficient value improvement and contributing to a successful study outcome for our valued client” said Chris Senior, Director at Engenium.

Engenium joins two other finalists in the ‘Mining and Offshore Engineering’ category, China Ocean Engineering Shanghai Company (COES) from South Korea and Shanghai Investigation, Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd from China.
