Engenium are delighted to be able to present details about Project Iron Boomerang to audiences attending Heavy Haul Rail 2012 in Newcastle on 28-29 August and CORE 2012 in Brisbane on 10-12 September.
Poised to be one of the largest construction projects in the nation’s history since the Snowy Mountains Scheme, Project Iron Boomerang will link the Pilbara iron ore mines in Western Australia with the Bowen Basin coal mines in north Queensland via a transcontinental, multi-user, infrastructure corridor supplying raw materials to two Steel Precincts, located at each end of the continent.
Project Iron Boomerang is a nation-building project that is not only for the present but also the future growth of the nation for generations to come. It is anticipated to create more than 35,000 construction, administration and service jobs in Australia.
